sick day

linens and cottons, dyed and not

home sick today. something stomach and head achy. anyway, i knew i'd bite kid's heads off. in truth: i. did. not. sleep. at. all. last. night. sick and spinning wheels.

cottons, dyed with indigo, rust, hollyhock

so today i should have been productive at home, right? well, by afternoon i got out a few things and moved them around. off the work table on to the dining table back to the work table. more spinning.

tiny beads, eclectic beads, greasy beads

then i thought, i could blog about my forays into other textile places like beads, so i found three little vessels. the truth is, that as much as i love beads, i'm just not that interested in working with them. i like stitching them and touching them, though. i'm experiencing a queer disquiet, that has nothing to do with external things, it's internal, menopause. it's just another territory i'm learning to navigate through. not bad, i like where i am, it just keeps surprising me. every new stage in my life has been an adventure, and as snarky as i am, i like, even enjoy, the changes. mostly.
